Grain Free - Chocolate Cake



Dry ingredients

175 g Bakers' Magic Grain free flour

250 g Brown sugar

50 g Cocoa

1/2 tsp Salt

Wet ingredients

250 g Butter

225 g Dark chocolate

225 g Milk chocolate

4 Eggs

2 tsp Vanilla

200 ml Sour cream


Chocolate ganache

150 g Cream

125 g Milk chocolate

125 g Dark chocolate



Turn oven on the 150 C (fan forced).

Grease a cake ring tin. 

Mix together the dry ingredients.

Melt the chocolate & butter together. 

In a separate bowl lightly whisk the eggs.

Add vanilla & eggs to the chocolate mix & stir to combine.

Fold the sour cream into the chocolate mix.

Fold the dry ingredients into the mixed wet ingredients.

Pour mix into cake ring tin & bake for ~55 mins.

Bring cake out of the oven & allow to cool completely before icing. 

Chocolate ganache

Heat cream to just below boiling.

Add the chocolate to the cream let it sit for ~1 minute then stir the mix. If the chocolate hasn't all melted gently heat the mix again. 

Pour over the cake. 

Allow the chocolate ganache to set before serving.
